There are four basic areas of a healthy relationship:

1. Spiritual - Both believing and worship God. Both praying together every day. Allowing Jesus to lead them in a loving relationship. Studying together and encouraging each other in spiritual growth.

2. Intellectual - Being best friends and sharing in doing and learning new things together. Communication is the key to closeness and happiness.

3. Emotional - Regardless of how hard past relationships may have been it is extremely important not to be emotionally constipated. Both should be giving freely their affections to each other. God says, "Love casts out FEAR!"

4. Physical - This is listed last because the world places it first which is a mistake! Physical includes more than sexual intimacy. It includes helping each other to be healthy. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The healthier we are the longer we can live and love each other. The world has damaged most people sexually and may require some counseling to leave the past behind and do as Jesus said. He said to put your hands on the plow and move forward without looking back.
